I swapped the rc with the rh will the same results. Battery was within normal voltages, up to the attic we go! You can check that easily enough via the “tech info” section under “power”.
Nest Thermostat No Power To Rc Wire endinspire

If you’re having trouble with your nest thermostat and the rc wire has no power, there are a few things you can try.
It would be in the main drain line or an overflow pan under. For the first time today i am receiving this e73 error code which says that there is no power to rc wire detected. When i looked at the screen, it would give me that infamous “no power to rh (or rc) wire detected”. Look and see if maybe there is a float switch in drain and if so lift the float to see if we get power to the nest.
Fuse failure occured by my own failure to turn off hvac circuit breaker. This error message can be caused by a number of different issues,. I don’t see a float switch. The nest error e73 is a common problem caused by no power supply to the rc wire.
After reading various posts, this error may be due to the ac outdoor.
