Sixteen year old jane faces death for high treason.
It tells the story of the ill fated lady jane grey who was queen of england for nine days in 1553, before being executed by queen mary. She pleaded guilty and was sentenced to death. While this superbly stylised picture of jane’s execution tells the truth about the tragic nature of her death, it masks a few facts about her martyrdom:
